Founded in St Albans at least 20 years ago as a Fancy Dress Hire shop, Dress Up and Dance emerged from the vision of a lovely married couple. They added some small dancewear items to their stock over the years which has proved popular. When they retired, the shop was taken over by 4 local parents in 2019, who saw the opportunity to build on the existing Dancewear and Gymnastics wear lines, so they began to add tights, leotards, skirts etc. After a particularly challenging 4 years which included the Covid years, they sold the shop to the current owner who is a dedicated ex-dancer/teacher who qualified with the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance).
